You can’t get much more local than this.
East Side Story exclusively offers Nashville author’s books and Nashville artist’s art and gifts for sale. The store is located in the Idea Hatchery off of Woodland street near Five Points in East Nashville. Owner/Proprietor, Chuck Beard, developed the idea for East Side Story for a contest he participated in while working on his MFA. Beard knew that Nashville had many ways to feature local musicians and artists, but local writers did not have as much opportunity to show their talents. He ended up winning the contest and soon after found himself opening the doors to East Side Story.
I never knew there were so many published authors in Nashville, let alone enough to fill a store, but there are! There is a wide variety of books available: fiction, non-fiction, children’s books and more. You can also find unique gifts that all relate to books in some way. But don’t take my word for it, check out the store tour below and get to know Chuck in the next video.
