Local Nashvillian Creates Craft Beer Cookbook!
Now Available in Our Shop

Cooper Brunk is an accomplished, classically trained chef with a passion for craft beer.  Brunk graduated from The Culinary School of the Rockies in Boulder, Co. and has been in the food industry for over 10 years, owning his own restaurant and working in France along the way.

Although he’s been traveling recently on his book tour, he resides right here in Nashville.  I am very excited to offer his cookbook on this site!  In this book he combines subtle flavors from malts and hops to create balanced dishes that will certainly impress family and friends. No beer brats, chili, or sloppy Joes here!  These dishes are made for the table not the tailgate.

I asked Brunk what inspired him to create such a unique cookbook and what makes it so different from others out there:

“Craft beer is booming and I’ve always had a passion for homebrewing.  A cookbook was something I wanted to do, it just came together.  Like the name says its an ‘elevated approach to cooking with beer.’  Other cookbooks really focus on very basic dishes and I wanted to highlight the ability to be elegant with craft beer.  I’ve received a great reaction from everybody that I’ve talked to.   People are very excited to see a cookbook like this.”

So besides myself (I LOVE a good craft beer), who would most enjoy receiving this cookbook as a gift?

“Any cookbook fanatic or craft beer enthusiast that appreciates great food.”

$1 of every cookbook you sell goes towards No Kid Hungry, a charity focused on ending childhood hunger in America.  What inspired you to incorporate this program in what you do?

“As a chef, the hunger epidemic throughout the world is very troubling, especially when you think about how much food gets wasted on a daily basis.  I just wanted a way to help.”

Another Nashvillian making a difference and giving back.  I know I’m keeping this book in mind for Father’s Day for sure!  You can learn more about this book in our shop.
